・What is tree climbling?

The biggest difference from normal tree climbing is that tree climbing only relies on a rope and a sling, gloves, and a helmet, so that you can reach the top of trees!

The American founder specially created a system that even beginners can easily climb a tree. By repeatedly stepping on the “foot rope” and moving the knot “brakes” upwards, everyone, regardless of gender, old, young, fat, short, tall, or thin, can climb easily!

・Anyone from elementary 1st to 80 years old can participate and enjoy it!

Most of the people who experience tree climbing in Japan are children; however anyone can experience tree climbing! Most of the time, the adults always let the children to experience it, while watching their children by their sides. However, a shocking fact is that parents are more likely to be addicted to it than their children. I recommend every child should enjoy it with their parents or family.

Although there is no age limit for tree climbing, children under first grade cannot participate because of insurance! Once a time, there was an 80-year-old grandfather who wanted to join with his grandson, so he participated together!

Only courage would limit people’s actions!

I’m often asked these questions by passersby or attendees, and my answer is: “No problem at all! Don’t worry about it! “

＊Even if you don’t have much power or enough physical strength

Anyone who can walk is welcome to participate in the tree-climbing experience! As long as you can walk on the rope with your feet, like walking up stairs, you can definitely do it! Just put the foot rope on your foot and step straight down, and you’ll be lifted up into the tree by the rope system. Climbing a tree is an experience where you can refresh and experience the joy of nature. The most important thing is to have fun climbing at your own pace. Finally, if you can reach the top, that would be nice!

＊The weight limits are 2 tons to the max? !

Carabiners currently used for tree climbing can hold up to 2 tons (some carabiners can hold more)! It is extremely load-bearing and safe, and even special loggers working on trees are using the same tool! In order to prevent people from accidentally opening the safety when climbing a tree, this carabiner is designed to require multiple layers of procedures before it can be opened. So, there is no need to worry about falling from the tree.

・Three important promises

1.Do not hold anywhere above the “brake”.
2.When climbing a distance similar to your height (about 3 times), please tie a “safety knot”.
3.When you want to return to the ground, please yell “I want to return to the ground” loudly to the staff below to prevent the staff from being too far away from hearing.

＊See a different world
The most interesting thing for me is seeing the world in a different way and at a different height than usual. Normally, humans living on land can only see as high as we are. Due to the reason, as the scenery seen from different height changes, so does the world!

＊Just repeat the step on the foot rope so that you can reach the top of the tree
As long as you repeatedly step on the foot rope and move the brake upward, you can easily reach the top of the tree! The right way is to step directly downward with your feet, instead of using your hands. Repeating this action can safely reach the top of the tree. It is a treasured experience for those of us who cannot grow up in the countryside nowadays.

＊Swing on the tree
Not only children, but adults also love it, because everyone can swing in the air in a wide range. Some may vary depending on the organizer, please follow the instructions of the on-site staff.

＊Tree boat
If you see a tree boat , you’re in luck! Because we don’t use it often in normal experience activities. This is a very rare tool! Since it takes a long time to set up, and a staff member must be watching it during the event to assist guests in getting on and off the tree boat. A more exciting itinerary might involve taking a nap or spending the whole night in a tree, How cool it is!

＊Stand upright on the branches and feel the freedom of Mount Tai
You can safely stand or sit on a branch and play with the trees like an elf. If you are brave enough to run on the branches, you can try. It is very difficult to me.

・Where to experience？！

Speaking of Iwaizumi Town in Iwate Prefecture, a “tree climbing experience activity” is held around Ryusendo Cave about once every month.
